I have never seen anyone before or since who could style and sell an act like Ethel Jennier. Saw her work single trap, sea lion, greyhounds and a mixed animal act on Ringling after she married Jack Joyce. Always the same, a bundle of energy and as Bob Momyer said, "A lot of talent". Her styling was in a class by itself but she had the talent to back it up. She did a standing, backward fall into an ankle drop as her finish on single trap. With the announcement, drum rolls, and her talent, you knew you had seen something special.
When I first met Jack Joyce, he and Ethel were married, and he was Assistant Performance Director on RB Blue. I never knew why, but his position there was short-lived, and I felt his departure was to his betterment.
I regret never having seen Ethel as Aerialetta, since I love trapeze girls.
Roger: You really missed a stellar trap act in not seeing Ethel work as "Miss Aeriletta". She rolled up the web (when was the last time you saw that) and you knew then that you would see a thrilling trap act and not a posing act. She really sold that act and all the other ones. Believe the spelling is Aerialetta.....

Ethel Jennier also known
as "Aerialetta" married
Jack Joyce later on
Ethel was a delightful lady with a lot of talent. I worked with her on Hunt's when she had the greyhounds.

That flying act behind Ethel must have worked at 40 feet, as that apron is really up there.
