One day I asked Kenneth Feld about an African Elephant and he said "Sure"! Simple as that.
Right now I forget where she came from but she she broke out easier than some Asians I had dealt with.
I named her "Kenya".

This was our first RB publicity picture taken in Venice.
At one point we had nearly 60 elephants squeezed into that place.
Gunther, Axel and I were called into the Office and it was decided that since Gunther was making his first trip back to Europe on Vacation, he should get the elephant barn.
Axel put up his Blue Show elephant tent and I was shown a place under some trees just outside the Quarters.
On cold nights we would squeeze them into the Ring Barn and sit up with them all night.
Welcome to the Greatest Show On Earth!

"The Day The Circus Came To Town" was the show presented in the Circus World Arena.
The premise was a little girl gazing at this paper, falls asleep and dreams a Circus Adventure.
I thought it was pretty good, produced by some Company out of Nashville that Mattell came up with.
Irvin Feld thought otherwise and Arnold Bramow took great delight in explaining how bad it was, a real Morale Booster.

The Show's Finale with "Anna May" stepping over the ring curb  with "Circus Princess" mounting two bull tubs and on cue eight elephants would approach from each direction, go into a Cross Mount
then exit to a bare stage.

Do they oil elephants any more?
Back in the days when they imported elephants they came in Lousy, actually little red Ticks that spread like a rumor.
Here we are getting one "Crummed Up! with Neatsfoot Oil.

#10 Circus World

.....one day Rex Williams stopped by while we oiling the herd so we included his elephants.
This is "Reed" being greasy pigged.

Ben and "Charlie".
One day Charlie Bauman visited the Park and thanked me for naming an elephant after him when actually I had Charles Ringling in mind.

#15 Circus World

"Sophie" and "Major".
I thought  this trick would be impressive but it didn't go over as well as a single so it I only presented when other Elephant Trainers visited.
One day Sophie Fox came by and I said "I named an elephant after you!" and she said "Oh! Really?".
She was underwhelmed.
