Susie is often the unsung hero of the famed Rix family, spending most of her time behind the scenes caring for the animals. What a wealth of ursine knowledge she has, far, far superior to any university book learning. Sadly, in this day unless you have some nonsense letters behind your name it doesn't count for much.

WADE'S so right. I do not know Susie--yet, since I want to--but I know exactly what kind of animal person she is. Like I did, she learned from the core experience of genuine masters, a leader of whom was her father, and there's no college ever to teach that. Institutions and intellectuals can quote chapter and verse from every animal encyclopedia ever printed. In this, they will never understand that they are limited to telling you WHAT the animal is, so along as he's on the other side of a barrier. These people will never tell you WHO the animal is, as learning who he is means facing him with no barriers between, and this entire other 50% of animal knowledge is denied the academic for his lifetime. And these with letters behind their name do not know that they do not know.
