The official title was "chipped
beef on toast" but it tasted
more like the SOS terminology
Boot camp food was penal quality
but after graduation I was sent
to Curtis Bay in Maryland & was
treated to terrific Coast Guard
dining at it's best (no joke)
Dit dit dit dah dah dah dit dit
dit is 1 of the 1st things you
learn in Morse Code as SOS for
"Save Our Ship"
Since this is Sunday I would like to add that it has also been referred to as Save Our Souls.
