1976 Circus World #2


This train was Chappie's pride and joy, built with careful detail and seen here as it enters to the delight of the local citizenry.

Although the train was beautiful

it was too large to fit within

the confines of the stage area

I think Gary can add some words

on the grief of driving around

the front of the ring curb as

well as just negotiating entry

& exit of the awful up left door

Sunlight came streaming in which

negated any stage lighting effect

I could go on & on but I won't

Worse part of the whole deal was that the "Tracks" were nothing more that white stripes like a Highway...I used to climb aboard and act like the Engineer just to Goof off..no one was actually supposed to ride in that part..the real driver was in the front in the Boiler...Fun times for sure..
