Never saw that title for horses

used before John does that mean

"full blooded" as in pure bred

Your dad was a looker

In checking with a good friend

with plenty of horse sense I'm

told that the terms Hot & Cold

when used in regards to horses

blood are meant to seperate the

finer breeds (hot) from draft

breeds (cold) and have nothing

to do with actual temperature

All horses are "warm blooded"

mammals as are we

I'm guessing the term "Blooded"

as used in Milt's title could

refer to either grouping or

maybe to both groups as many of

the other horse folks I spoke

to had never heard that term

used in that way before

On a different topic, yesterday we saw "Step Right Up!, the excellent exhibit curated by Tim Tegge at the Mercer Museum in Doylestown, PA. This traveling exhibition covers the American circus from 1890 to 1965 and is a must see for everyone, circus enthusiast or not. It combines photos, a short film about wagons and trains, numerous small displays, posters and plenty of history. Looking at the photos of old friends and coworkers who are not longer with us was an emotional experience. It was great to see living legends Mary Ruth, Buckles and Peluza represented. There is even a participation section for youngsters to dress up and try some circus skills and a chance to record one's circus memories. The exhibit runs through March 16 and is operated by Exhibits USA. This is a MUST for anyone who loves the circus.
