The name Boots Mallory might have us thinking the decorous blonde seen here was aced out by the extensive billing for the boys. Boots was the nickname of Patricia Mallory, a natural blonde Louisiana native, raised in Alabama, who was discovered by Flo Ziegfeld. She was married at the time to William (Bill) Cagney, producer brother to star James Cagney. They had two children. Her second marriage was to the distinguished British actor Herbert Marshall.
