Isn't from the set of 1914 pictures taken in Baraboo?
This image is backwards, which probably has caused confusion. Other views from the set confirm this error. One also finds them printed in reverse, looking like negatives.
Baraboo Bill Kasiska did take a set of Barnes photos in his hometown, but this isn't one of them. This photo is from a set sold by "P. M." McClintock. They're typically identified as Olympia, WA, May 12, 1922. In the background is a building that has Olympia in a sign. Perhaps someone can confirm the location?
They are definitely 1922 or later because they include a view of tableau 180, which was new to the show that season.
The other shots include mounted riders, one of the show's air calliopes, the ex-Wallace tableau with a carved rhino on the side, one of the bulls including Tusko and three different cages.
The lead bandwagon was by Bode, the rhino by Sullivan & Eagle, the cages by Moeller and the #180 and air calliope by the show, the former with Bode-supplied carvings and the latter with carvings from a Forepaugh-Sells tableau cage sideboards, possibly built by Schmidt. That's quite a pedigree. Tusko from M. L. Clark, of course.
