Not long ago on eBay, I picked up an 8-page booklet dating from 1940 and telling THE STRANGE STORY OF GARGANTUA. The text was written by J. Bryan, III, with photos by Bob Wallace of Los Angeles. The background information it provides is fairly straight-forward, with little if any press agent puffery. |
