The Circus City Museum & Park Board of Hugo Mr. Wesley Johnson has been hired as the architect on the project and has drawn up plans for converting the existing house into a museum and for laying out the garden area to incorporate a fountain, seating throughout the grounds and a covered area for groups, etc. Mr. Johnson is the same architect that drew up the plans for the Choctaw County Library. Our library has a wonderful circus theme with many bronze works of art throughout by Mr. Jim Franklin from Hugo We are excited about creating a place that circus fans will want to visit and study circus history, see exciting circus memorabilia and then spend time relaxing in our garden. At this time we are accepting donations of any kind, either monetary or circus memorabilia. We are very excited about this project and the impact it will have on our community and circus fans everywhere. Any questions may be directed to Mrs. Marilyn Custer at 580 326-3547 or 580 317-4234. Please make donation checks out to: Circus City Museum & Park. All donations may be mailed to Circus City Museum & Park Board at Circus |

While I will be sending a small token to the Hugo fund ( I spent a lovely afternoon there while driving cross country and visited the Carson and Barnes quarters briefly and I still have the "Carson and Barnes 5 ring Circus Big Top Family Fun Coming Soon" sticker on my ukulele case) this question is totally off topic. Saw a poster today for the "Kingford Circus" playing this weekend here in New Orleans. Last year at the same time and in the same parking lot the Barnes and Bailey played. They appeared the year before the hurricane as :The Great Circus of China. Is this the same show with a different name?
Thanks,
JP

Ah duh!
It is said one always returns to the scene of the crime?
The crime being "New Deluxiana Brand Peanuts!"
Gotta love a title like Kingsford. If you're inclined to burning something you can't beat America's favorite charcoal
As a man from the same state as the Big Ten's GOPHERS...... I can only suggest that DAVENPORT, IA could hold some clues to the mystery...... NUFF SED
