Company manager Don Covington gets ready to snap his own photo of the performers on this year's 30th edition of the Big Apple Circus. The cast assembled after Saturday's second show for professional pictures to be used in the printed program for Lincoln Center in New York City.

"Ah yes, the class picture at my Old Alma Mater. Aside from Covington, I only recognize two people, fewer than that if this is the substitute Grandma." Buckles

No, that is not his substitute, that is Barry!

Show is a 30th anniversary with great acts from the past????? But I seemed to have missed the elephants????? Where are you Buckles?

And they are tremendous acts! Slack wire doesn't get any better, great foot juggling, the teeterboard act is just beyond comprehension, and the dog and liberty acts are truly great as they just go out and perform without the need of their trainers. The clowns are truly funny, but by their last routine they are out there way too long and the water is overdone!

I always return just before they leave town and see a tremendous improvement with timing. But right now the interludes become old, issues of pacing, and I believe the music is too much as the same tempos throughout much of the show. It needs more variety of tempos and to just up and drive. But the acts......they just don't get any better! And elephants would really top everything off!!!!!!
