From Raffaele de Ritis

A maybe interesting follow-up for your recent post: this seems to be the very same act as the 1975 one. Only the horse looks a different one (but still guessing what can he see).

Miss Niedermeier is currently working in a medium-size italian circus called Circo di Vienna. The white bear in the back seat is Jacky, there billed as the “only polar bear still performing in Europe”. I think that, not so much surprisingly, this statement can be true. At my knowledge, all the others are gone from the continental rings. Maybe Jim Clubb or somebody more informed can give us news of other ones around. There are some remaining in the Usa? The last polar bear act existing in the world at my knowledge was in the 90s with Circus Gasca in Venezuela, lasting from the last Althoff group...

There are none left performing in the USA. The last of the Albert Rix family of Polar bears died a couple years ago I was told.

Off the topic of the photo above...apparently Tim Holst has a new sidekick, Scott O'Donnell.

The new duo will be known as "Grumpy" and "Happy", as keeping with the Kenny Feld and Seven Flunkies, sorry Seven Dwarfs theme.

The position of DOPEY has not been announced due to the overwhelming number of qualified candidates, both on the show and in corporate.

Details to follow.

hi ho hi ho, it's off to the circus we go...
