In connection to this article, there is another in todays Venice paper saying the Air Port Authority has decided to demolish the Arena that we all remember.
I guess there's really nothing left in the old arena of any historical value. So it would probably be a waste of time for any would-be historian to poke around and take a look before the place comes down. What a shame.
Just a piece of lumber to have in your den from the old arena would be a conversation piece. My x had a three foot piece of board in his ratsceller. I ask what it was. He said it was from the old norch joint in Madison. It took me a month or two to find out what a notch joint was. I was very slow in those days.

Karen, I'll ask Shannon to put that complete article on the Blog this afternoon.
"Notch joint?" I don't have a clue.

Thanks Jack. Sounds like I might have time to run down there after we move to FL and try to sneak a piece of wood or something.
Or two!
