To Barry the Lighting Guy

I don't understand your statement "strange denizens of Clown Alley Past".
They seemed perfectly normal to me.

Peter was certainly a living cartoon. His extremely limber, adjile, tallented comedic abilities surely made him a remarkably " funny " Circus Clown. Simmilar in spirit to Jerry Lewis once he turned on he just couldn't shut off easily.

I was only 8-9 years old and I remember Peter during finale. We all had to stand on the track and pay homage to the mighty cannonball. Peter is out there doing his crackups and it had us busted up laughing more than than the crowd. I do recall Charlie Bowman always yelling at him. To a kid this was pure entertainment.

Peter is legendary. More than just a "Clown", "Visual Comedian" or "Physical Comedian" he is more a force of nature, truly in a class by himself.

He appears, deservedly so, alongside the giants of late 20th century comedy in the film THE ARISTOCRATS which is soon to be available on DVD.

We always had Charly's tigers in position at the Center Ring and of course I had to be there to make sure I kept the cats clean in case of an "accident". Peter would mess with me alot of times and I didn't know it because he was behind me goofing off and the comein crowd would love him! He always kept me in stiches too. We found out at a hotel party one night how he used a mirror to practice. Gary

Funny thing - did a Google search on Peter - he has some film credits. Here's the link to IMDB (Internet Movie Database).
