John Robinson Circus #4

Buddy Copeland should appreciate the art work on this baggage wagon. I'm sure there would be musicians of some sort mounted on top. Posted by Picasa

John Robinson Circus #5

This day the parade, when returning to the lot, is routed right up the midway. This is the Wild West Section and in the background we see the banner for "ZOMA THE WORLDS STRANGEST GIRL". Posted by Picasa

John Robinson Circus #6

This is a better view of the Zoma Show.
I envision her as having a bolt in her tongue, her eye brows, nose, lips and navel pierced (maybe even more). Doesn't get much stranger than that. Posted by Picasa

From John Davenport

Just received a phone call from Mr. Davenport commenting on our Blog Site and the chatter from various people. I agreed that he had indeed created quite a stir.
He concluded by saying that he will make all announcements regarding the 2007 Season on Dec. 11, as soon as he and his girl friend return from a cruise they are planning. Posted by Picasa

Wade Burck #1

Unfortunately Mr. Burck was injured last week while working his new Tiger Act at the Evansville Shrine Circus, requiring numerous stiches in his forearm and leg and a night in the Hospital.
But being the trouper that he is, missed only two performances and finished out the engagement with the act working flawlessly. Posted by Picasa

Earl Shipley

Quite a bit of comment today on Mr. Shipley. I remember him from the Orrin Davenport Shrine dates and John is right, a very nice gentleman. Posted by Picasa

From P.J. Holmes

Hello again,
Hope you enjoy this shot of Hagenbeck-Wallace unloading. Notice the person from the train crew pushing the run over before they drive the auto down off the flat.

Marsha Hunt

Received a phone call today from Miss Hunt who mentioned that she had just come across our Blog Site and was very complimentary.
She pointed out that there were only three baby elephants added to Hunt Bros. Circus in 1949, "Chandre", "Sita" and "Rahnee". She added that they were accompanied by two Mahouts as dictated by Indian Law and that neither had so much as seen a Television set.
Louis Reed was indeed their trainer and that "Muna" and "Dinnu" arrived the following year.
She further mentioned that their names were given to them in India. Posted by Picasa
