Milwaukee Great Circus Parade. Worked on that wagon once or twice. Weird cage. Designed for the menagerie only one side opened. In the shield it says, Barnum, Bailey and Hutchinson.
Dave Deppe was sent out to California (IIRC) to pick the wagon up. When he got there it was in such bad shape he called his dad Wilbur and told him it was a complete pile of junk. Wilbur told him to stand by and called Chappie Fox. Wilbur said, "Dave says it's a pile of junk". Chappie said, "But it's historic junk. Wilbur called Dave and said, "Chappie said bring it home." At the Baraboo parade it rode on Deppe's flatbed with a picture of Dave bringing it home on the cab and the words "57 Years Later." I have a picture but I have no idea how to send it to Chic.

BTW, those wheels are the work of the talented Joan Stevens.
One of the first wagons at the CWM. Given to the museum by George Christy.
