as a really rough part of town

This is where the Blue Show played

during the clash of the Titans in

the 74 Circus wars when Abe Polen

had a humongous "Circus America" put

together by Paul Kaye & Jack Leontini

to open his new Capitol Center Arena

where Big Bertha had been originally

planned as the opening production

The whole shebang blew up when Earl

Duryea who was brought on by Feld

tried (& lost) in renegotiating the

contract which made Abe furious so

he decided to have his own show to

replace the preplanned arrangement

Much more to the story another time

was & still is the DC Armory
