This is the Ringling circus around 1910. The man in the white hat on the lower left is said to be Otto Ringling. We do not see the African Fanny among the elephants. She was one the original Ringling bulls and was sold to the Memphis zoo in 1909. So 1910 is a good bet for the date.
On the right we see the very tall female Asian known as Big Jenny. She had a long circus history before joining Ringling in 1896 from the W. B.Reynolds show. In 1916 she was dubbed Big Bingo and was widely advertised as such. She died in 1919 on the show in Columbus, OH.
