The big tall stock car (2nd from the right) with the double doors was for elephants, specifically the huge males Black Diamond and Tusko. Handling them was tricky.

It looks like they've removed the far-end truck from the last flat in the cut to make the runs a bit shorter. Anyone agree?
Was this a regular procedure for some shows? I've seen it discussed in some old military publications, but don't know how common it was in circuses.
