This is the Carnival Midway I remember...A mixture of shows and rides plus the games and food joints. One could be entertained by the various shows giving a Bally, such as the Freak Show, Motordrome, Girl Shows (usually two on the Midway), and other shows. Unfortunately, as a youngster, when the money ran out and you could not ride the rides, or buy cotton candy, your day was ruined. The carnival lot was very exciting back then....Even the Jam Auctions.
