I just came from a site with photos of the ruins of Howard Suesz's Winterquarters, late of Edmond, Oklahoma. I had his tigers and elephants in '75, and we laid off there for 10 days during the season. Suesz sold out to Carden & Johnson that winter, and the Edmond property went for a time to the Barrada family. These last photos show total dereliction of the buildings, and rusted shells of a bus and an old truck. For me, abandoned circus property bears a sorrow like no other.

Not to be believed that it came to this.
