When visiting RBB in Dallas, in the '60s, I met Unus and caught his act for the entire engagement. You don't get enough of seeing his kind of stardom. When he entered the ring in his purple tux, with Merle Evans conducting "Deep Purple", the audience belonged to him at once.
La Toria was showcased in a star turn like no aerialist since Leitzel. She is the only Ringling feature I ever saw who had the band play her off down the track. Stunning showmanship I've never forgotten.
