OK, now here is Rajah--this one is The First. Her wrestling bit with him became a sensation to animal trainers, but as it came at the end of her full cage act, with the other tigers sent home, some reviewers felt it was an anticlimax. When John Ringling brought Mabel to the combine, in 1922, Mr. Barnes refused to sell Rajah. Mabel begged for months for him, and Mr. John upped the price, but Barnes was pissed at Mabel's departure, and turned them down. Subsequent trainers tried wrestling Rajah, and things did not go well. Mabel later got her Rajah II, and carried on.
