After receiving my Draft Notice my folks had the elephant act booked with Jack Moore's Tex Carson Circus who supplied a driver so with a few months on my hands, like Gomer Pyle went on an adventure starting with a trip Florida and got a job working for Hugo Schmitt where I later got my first glimpse of Madison Sq. Garden before reporting to Hot Springs for Induction.
Fortunately I had sense enough to take a camera.
