In 1960 the Beatty-Cole advance was jumping from Muncie to Middletown, OH- home of Dave Hoover- I was riding with Johnny Fulghum and Allyn Pierson. We saw billing for Beers-Barnes playing Milton, Indiana, and stopped to visit. We were very well received and the performance was very good. I have always thought of Beers-Barnes and the Atayde shows as being the two most enjoyable shows I have ever seen.
Wow! This is 25 years earlier than I saw Beers-Barnes but I am surprised by the size of the sideshow and the extent of the banner line. It does not match my perception of this "small" show so I am pleased to learn from today's series of photos. Thanks Buckles!
