Someone once asked my father, "Colonel, with your poor vision, is it safe for you to go in that arena? and he replied, "As soon as that cat comes thru the chute it improves to 20/20!"
I also remember him telling me that Mr. Beatty was the best boss he ever had.
He added that Herriet Beatty was highly inaccurate with her buggy whip, leaving marks on both him and "Anna May" whereas "Rimba" managed to escape unscathed. |
