I met Oklahoma shorty on Carson and Barnes when he had the gorilla show, with a real live gooorilla as Kenndey Swain would say/
Shorty and Buela were real show folks.
When they were on one of Gophers show they would call me and tell me the town where they were.
Gopher would ask how did you find us and I dummied up.
Shorty gave me one of his spinning ropes he sued on KM.
I think they had a feed store in Moore, Oklahoma.
Harry in Texas

I didn't know Tom King had been with them so far back- I think he was with the Ranch Show in the twenties. He handled one of the pit shows when I knew him.

As soon as I saw in this photo what would be a 14-year-old Johnny Herriott and "Oklahoma Shorty" Shearer in wild west lineup, I immediately heard Johnny reciting one of his beloved pitches, this time for the concert. Oh, how we all miss Johnny.
Buckles, I echo the great thanks of Harry and Jim for this great group of photos. It seems like you must have found another suitcase filled with photos of some of these older shows.
