Shorty and Buela were real show folks.
When they were on one of Gophers show they would call me and tell me the town where they were.
Gopher would ask how did you find us and I dummied up.
Shorty gave me one of his spinning ropes he sued on KM.
I think they had a feed store in Moore, Oklahoma.

Dick Flint said...: As soon as I saw in this photo what would be a 14-year-old Johnny Herriott and "Oklahoma Shorty" Shearer in wild west lineup, I immediately heard Johnny reciting one of his beloved pitches, this time for the concert. Oh, how we all miss Johnny.
