"Sadie" #12

My father died in late 1963, this photo was made for the 1964 World's Fair after which the Miller-Woodcock elephant act was dissolved, "Lydia" and "Sadie" reverted to Carson & Barnes but D.R. Miller let us keep "Anna May" for which I will always be grateful.
A season or so later she was the victim of an unfortunate situation where the lot had been sprayed with a toxic substance and when they arose to load up the following morning she lay dead along with several other animals.
I went thru my files several times and surprisingly don't have a card for her and can't
remember the time or location.
