Doniker wagon, they had a post hole digger then came the daunting task of trying to spot the vehicle precisely over the holes and some times in a hurry they would forget to lower the flaps.
On one occasion I recall a School Teacher leading a group of children and saying, "I wonder what they keep in here?.....oops! Pardon me!

Got a whale of a tail to tell you as traveling with Carson and Barnes in the early 70's D R had a doniker trailer made out of an old travel trailer.
It had two wheels on each side one in front of the other.
We were making a long jump and over a damn and the road was up high with deep sides.
Well on one side of the doniker they only had one tire. It had not ben dumped in several days.
Well you are already ahead of me as the tire blew and it rolled down the side of a road.
The contents was slung all over everything inside and I pity the one that had to clean it.
