The flags on a broomstick looks
like 1 of your father's props
that you've shown a while back
In May of 1970, I saw the Hurricane Hell Drivers outfit driving on the Autobahn in the middle of the night, headed for their next show. That brought back memories of seeing them at the fair.
Kinko (Glen Sunberry) and myself, worked several seasons for Aut Swenson's Thrillcade. He was one great guy and even let me take my own car so I did not have to drive those stunt cars overland. Kinko was there with his wife Mary with a house trailer and he paid a guy, who traveled with him to drive his equipment. Aut paid well and it was a great show to be around. I kept track of mileage and during fair season you had to make all those dates, usuallly only one show a day in front of the grandstand. We traveled 2700 miles in 14 weeks. That was about 53 and 54. Also did Jimmy Lynch and Chitwood other years. Comparatively very good money compared to circus dates and they were consecutive.

Jackie, Chic says you may come to our next BS session at Beefs.
Barbara says if you do she'll be there too.

Danny Fleenor has a good hell driver show and his wife, Joyce had the Star and Garter Review on Goodings Million Dollar Midway.

Danny Fleenor's wife was Joy, not Joyce. I sold tickets one afternoon so Johann Peterson's nephew could take a break and watch the hell drivers. That was my only venture into the carnie business.
