I lived in San Antonio, beginning in 1985, and trained animal shows at the Brackenridge Park Zoo were long in the past. First, no one knew how, then zoo snobs couldn't let real trainers show them up.
When I left the Ringling show, I moved back to Kissimmee,Fl. The male elephant at the Central Florida zoo was knockin all the zoo guys around..I hired on and knew he was broke out by the Capt so I put afew behaviors for him to keep him busy..Laydown, situp, sit on tub, stand on two feet on tub..2 weeks later they traded him for a gentle female African...his name was Sobic or Sobik sp? and I believe he is in Oregon now named Tusko?

Nicely done by the elephants to
keep the US flag end higher than
the Lone Star State flag end
