Old lightweight flying frames
before the heavy truss frames
that were mandated much later
Much easier to hang & to load
The outriggers were attached
to both long sides for webs
#108 Blue Show in 78 might have
been the 1st with the trusses
but the same outriggers stayed
I seem to recall the trim of
the frames to be 32 ft 6 inches
Long ago it had been at 30 ft
Maybe under canvas when the net
was also lower
I should have written 38' 4"
just to see if anyone would
have corrected me
