This is the John Robinson side show band in the 1920s. This photo appeared on the blog before with some debate about it being too large to be the sideshow band. However, compare the 13 musicians seen here, as an example, with the number appearing in the Robinson "centennial" year of 12 players in the sideshow. We forget or have not learned just how big these bands were! In addition, the 1923 sideshow carried four Hawaiian musicians, a couple of Scotch bagpipers, and an act called the Musical Bensons.
