To Chic


I even tried one in those days but my dad advised me against it, saying it was unbecoming of someone my age and predicted I would soon weary of having to trim it.

Although I've seen photos of you

cleanshaven you have had precise

trimmed chin adornment as long as

I've known you so obviously you

took the routine in stride

This youthful image didn't show

the growth to best advantage

I had a few youthful attempts at

either goatee or vandyke styles

All photographic records of such

have been completely incinerated

I did however have a fair run of

wildly "FRO" like hairstyles
