Claude "Slivers" Madison was a great guy, upbeat, gregarious, neat in appearance and always in the right place at the right time.
Not noted as a trainer but very efficient and responsible.
Mac MacDonald trained this act for the Tom Packs Circus but turned it over to Slivers when he moved on to train the Besalou elephants for Louie Stern.

Jo Madison was my grandmother's sister. So she was my great aunt Jo and great uncle Slivers. I have tremendous beautiful memories of both of them. Unfortunately I was too young to know Tina and Bertha, but my Mom knew them very well!!! She has pictures of her as a little girl in either Tina or Bertha's trunk.. just like Aunt Jo!!
