In The Army Now! #6

About a year later while I was in Korea I received word from Rudy Bros. Circus that my father was having health problems and in fact died two years later from heart failure at age 59.
Rudy Jacoby informed me that as his employer he could apply for me to get an early release and I agreed.
Some time later I was on R&R in Tokyo when a guy told me they were looking for me back at my outfit and I figured they were about to move out so I told him to tell them he couldn't find me.
So I finished out my R&R but on return found that things were normal and my Lieutenant said, "We've been looking all over for you, you've been discharged and you've missed your boat!"
