Filming a circus in action presents a staggering number
of problems. Choosing significant shots
from the wealth of material, setting up the equipment, securing the cooperation
of the animals, performers and audience and catching the colorful atmosphere of
the big top, amid the blare and confusion of an actual performance are not easy
tasks.
