Animal Farms #1

Written on the back: "May 24, 1929 "Kay" elephant just two days after arrival from Hagenbeck, Germany at Benson,s and now at Evansville, Ind. Zoo." I have told the story on the Blog several times about the occasion over 20 years later when my Dad had booked our act at the Evansville Shrine Circus and at the last minute received word that this elephant had killed the Evansville zoo Director and they had decided to cancel the elephant act until further notice. As it turned out things settled down and we did play the date and it was quite nice, in a High School Gym as I recall.
