Here are a set of photos of the Circus Carl Bush which is called since this year «
Deutscher Nationalcircus » or German National Circus in English. I saw the show
in Darmstadt, Germany a few weeks ago. I caught the last performance in that
city so a large part of the show's equipment was already on the road to the next
lot.

Interesting pair of truss rings
connecting the mast tops that
might help support other rigging
Is this outdoor ring curb used
for public performance or is it
just set as a practice ring
It seems oversized as well
Might these folks be part of the
same Busch family that August was
from who created "Anheiser Busch"
(no longer an American Brewery)
Is this an Italian built top
Have they had good business
What might the seat capacity be
Chic,
Have you ever seen truss support anywhere else like this.
There are no cables connected to the to just to the top of the peaks.
To me it is a lot of wasted support.
the towers will support anything.
Never ever have seen a rig like this but leave it to Europe.
I would like to know what Johnny Pugh would say on this.
Harry in Texas
I regret not trying to see if any circuses were playing in the area I was stationed in, while I was in the Army in Germany. I would have liked to ask Guther Gebel Williams if he ever played in my area of Germany, when he was working in the backyard in Lansing, Michigan, but I did not have the courage to do so. Big mistake on my part.
My best guess Harry is the rings
are a novel approach to maintain
the spacing of the masts to work
against the central diagonal pull
of the cables to the cuppola
Horizontal trusses tend to droop
Aside from that they look good
Hideous !
Must be quite a beautiful sight at night!!
