Hard Times Leonard had what was described to me as a perfectly beautiful small circus, that sadly was among the many that gave it a valiant try but too quickly went broke. Hard Times was with us on the '64 Beatty show, giving me the chance to reflect on the words of Fred Bradna. He wrote that faded glory is not humiliated in the circus as it is in the theatre. Hard Times was treated with respect as a former show owner.
