Excellent form by the horse. Who might have trained the horse?

Probably Henry Shroer

But it also could have been Ian

Garden who did some offsite

Note these two photos , this and a recent other by the great William Heyer. Heyer id doing it the old circus style, at liberty and Mark is doing it like Spainish Riding school. Before or after the war as well we had not heard enough from Europe about Lips, riding school, etc. and on circuses it was called a "buck jump" until we brcame more intercontinetal sophistivcated.

No Johnny I certainly remember

him very well with admiration

but I didn't drink the koolaid

To me he wasn't "The 1 & Only"

but an incredibly proficient &

very charming circus wonder who

became a circus legend

I consider many performers past

& present to be of equal status
