My wife is a big fan of the TV series Project
Runway, where aspiring designers compete for a chance at recognition and
access to the world of high fashion design.
(From what my wife tells me, each season begins with 15 or so designers,
who are eliminated at a rate of one or two per episode. The last one standing is the
winner.)
