I bet on Russell Bros and the Beatty shows with Edna Antes at the Tax Box every body went away with a smile on there face.
Soft spoken and a class act she was a friend of us fans.
Gone but not forgotten.

Miss Edna was a genuinely decent woman, elegant in decorum, and carried the appearance of a most prim and proper high school librarian in small town America. If anyone could have patched a beef at the tax box, it was she.

She was quoted as having said (when referring to Ted and Gary)"Alcohol is unbecoming on those two young gentlemen".

I posted a comment on Frank Orman #4 and said I remembered a Mrs.Teal or T..It was in fact Edna Antes..she was wonderful to me when I was visiting my granpa Orman at the circus.I was just a little girl..but my last memory of her was when I lived in Parkersburg,WV and was a mother to 2 little girls.I think I was probably around 27-28 years old and I took the girls to the CBCB circus and there was Mrs. Antes.I came to the ticket gate and recognized her instantly. I asked if she knew who I was..she looked at me but I could tell she didn't have a clue (I was probably 12 the last time she'd seen me)..then I showed her my crooked pinkie fingers and she said..Are you Lindy(my nickname from grampa Orman) Frank Ormans granddaughter!!Well let me just say my daughters still have such wonderful memories of that day..we got the Red Carpet treatment..front row seats and all the goodies! She was a beautiful classy women and my grandfather spoke highly of her always!
