One of the all-time great pieces of show music is the FOLIES-BERGERE MARCH by Paul Lincke. (It’s the march heard in DeMille’s film THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH the first time Holly and Sebastian make their entrance during a performance.) Bill Pruyn used it in the 104th Edition’s musical program, and it was also popular with the musicians who made music rolls for band organs.

From his months in Paris, shooting THE YOUNG LIONS, in '58, Parley Baer brought home some of the circus depictions by Toulouse.
