Hugo Quarters 1957-58 #1

Came across these pictures of my folks practicing the act in front of the ring barn not long after I left for the Army.
My dad liked that Vaudeville stuff so here we see "Lydia" playing the harmonica, "Anna May" beating the drums accompanied by "Sadie" doing her "monkey dance".

Buckles, you know how I am intrigued by that vaudeville stuff! Sure wish I had met your dad for this and many other circus historical reasons! I was fortunate to have met your mom, Babe, when I first visited your place in Ruskin in the early 1970s. She was still selling off some of your dad's stuff and I got a classic minstrel book with both "Babe W," stamped in it as well as Sturtevant's owner's signature. lots of ownership history!
