Greetings Buckles, Hope this finds you feeling better! Enjoyed the recent photos of Uncle Sid's operation, when Jesse and Frank were still his partners! I invited Sid out to see Kaleidoscape in San Francisco many moons ago, and true to form his first crack was "Hey Pal". When Chester Cable was the superintendent and passing out the route slips for the next town he would always say "it's all downhill, except for the upgrades". Sid always believed it was a privilege for us to drive one of his underpowered gas rigs, and therefore handsomely paid us $5 a week for that privilege. Great memories of Great London, when we would make the final fold of the big top to fit on the spool truck, it was always "All the way with GLC". Hope the bloggers enjoy the old Beatty show photo. Wishing you, Barbara and family a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Erik, Elaine, Dane and Natalie Jaeger |

Great photo Erik any idea where
& when & that's a srange looking
RR crossing sign on the right
The ass end of the autos look as
they might be from the early 40s
Chic: Beatty's wagons only had that arched style lettering 1949 thru 1951. Also you can see the canvas-covered dog door near the front of the wagon which wasn't added until 1950 when the former Sparks dog wagon was dropped, so that narrows this pic down to 1950 or 1951.
Thanks Dave
Chic, I was presented with a few old Beatty show photos by a gent that I had done a project for, as he knew I had an interest in the Beatty rail show, but I don't have any info about them. Dave has helped me in the past with my questions about the Beatty operation, and would say his reply is spot on! Great card collection this morning. Merry Christmas to all.
Today's blog really sets the holiday spirit. Merry Christmas to all.
Bob
