Aerial shot of RBBB from Google Maps. In 30 years time I wonder if people without knowing about RBBB's association with the arena will ask why is one of the streets named Avineda Del Circo. "The winter of 1973-74 was quite eventful, for a while we had 54 elephants squeezed into this place. The Red show herd was in the barn while Gunther was on vacation in Europe, Axel though being in rehearsal, worked out of his elephant tent and I picketed the Circus World elephants in the grassy area at the top of the picture in plain view of the Hwy. 41 traffic. Quite a few accidents involving people watching the elephants instead of the road." Buckles |
