The film opens with footage obtained between 1917 and 1920 during the Johnsons’ expeditions to the New Hebrides and Solomon Islands, and British North Borneo. Included are scenes filmed among a tribe of headhunters with whom the Johnsons had a brief but harrowing encounter!
