Simian Impersonators #5

Although not a circus performer, Ray “Crash” Corrigan (seen here with cowboy actor Robert Livingston) wore his gorilla outfit in dozens of Hollywood films including Clyde Beatty’s starring serial Darkest Africa. This particular frame capture is from the 1937 Three Mesquiteer series western COME ON, COWBOYS, which has the Mesquiteers (Livingston, Corrigan and Max Terhune) helping to rescue an old circus.

This is an arena I don't recognize. The skinny little bars seem grouped in random 2's and 3's. No sections like this were on the lot at Goebel's in my day, so I'll have to see this movie for better clues.
