Here we see some numbered billing passes. That July 30 - Aug 2 date was for what we called "Denver" but we really played the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds some drive out of town and in the next county. This was a 1959 date but you see we were still using 1958 passes. We had to turn in daily reports telling where we hung or posted paper and the numbers of the passes given. In theory the show would check the locations and cancel the passes of anyone who had pulled the paper early, but in reality there was little if any checking. One year I snagged the first book of passes out of the first box and thereby saved a # 1. I cannot recall any of the Hugo shows having numbered litho passes, but my memory may be wrong. These are all more than fifty years old so am I, considerably so.
